A BRAND WITH A LOT OF MEANING
Founded in Lyon, Lecopain is the first French firm of haute couture dog accessories that really contributes to ecology.
Our objects are unique and singular, always respecting our planet, as much for their conception, as for their handcrafted manufacture.
Lecopain creations have a dual vocation, as they are designed for both dogs and humans.
Designed by designers from the fashion world and guaranteed by veterinary specialists, thus achieving excellence and luxury in our products.
The result is a fashionable product, safe, aesthetic, respectful towards our animals and the environment where every little detail has been taken into account.
FOUNDER
Paula was born in a small village in the mountains near the sea in Spain.
It is there where she learned to respect and care for nature.
A lover of art and design, she began working in fashion and traveling the world with a single purpose, to get to know as many people and cultures as possible, learning from their people, while developing her passion for art and fashion.
These travels, however, also made her see the damage that man was causing to the planet.
Accustomed to living and growing up with animals, she decided to create Lecopain, a firm of eco-responsible accessories for dogs with very human values.
The beginning of this adventure was also for Paula the beginning of another journey, motherhood.
At the same time that the pillars of Maison Lecopain were being founded, life was also being created.
In every sense of the word.
That is why Lecopain is a rebirth, a firm of excellence, but also a very personal and important project for Paula.
We hope that you and your pets also feel this way.
INSPIRATIONS
Our designs are based on art, nature and fashion.
Like the impressionists, Maison Lecopain interprets in its own way what we believe dog accessories should be: top quality and beauty. “I paint what I see, and not what others want to see.” We have been inspired by them, by the paintings of their gardens, by how they capture the colors of nature, the brightness of the sun or the reflections of the leaves of the trees in the water.
We love life and our animals.
Lecopain is a Maison, a house, a big family where everyone has a place.
This is how we see the world and the animals that live in it: a great unity to be respected.
SUSTAINABILITY
Transparency is, for us, fundamental in the whole manufacturing process: we use organic compost leftovers to produce our PETA vegan leather, as well as renewable energies to feed this production.
In this way we avoid the creation of new materials, which leads to a considerable reduction of pollution on our planet.
Our metal accessories are made of at least 60% stainless steel, which is one of the most sustainable and durable metals available, as it does not pollute liquids, can be recycled and requires almost no chemical treatment.
All this allows us to strongly reduce CO2 emissions, as well as an exponential saving of water and energy.
Slow fashion is our fundamental value, being circular fashion our ultimate goal.
Our manufacturing is handcrafted in France, the apples used to make the leather come from the leftovers of Italian agriculture.
The leather is made in Italy and part of our metal accessories come from Spain.
